Self-adhesive or laminated installation

The first distinction to understand is between self-adhesive PDLC smart film models, used for retrofit installation on existing glass surfaces, and laminated models, which have no adhesive layer and are designed for installation between two layers of glass during fabrication — for example in PVC or aluminium joinery or glass walls.

Lumi Projekt offers several PDLC smart film models with different technical specifications. It is important to note that almost all models are available in self-adhesive or laminated installation.

Basic model

This entry-level model provides all the benefits of smart film — privacy in a second, thermal and sound insulation, UV and IR protection — at the most affordable price. The Basic model offers light transmittance of 84–86% when the film is frosted/off and haze of approximately 3–4% when the film is clear/on.

A great solution for offices and smaller business spaces, medical environments, and anywhere privacy is needed without extra requirements at a lower price point.

Plus model

The most cost-effective and most popular Plus model is a step above the previous model and also provides all the benefits of smart film, but comes with better light transmittance of 88–91% when the film is frosted/off and haze of approximately 4–5% when the film is clear/on.

Ideal for residential installations, conference rooms and business spaces, hotels and apartments, retail and other buildings with more frequent use where better optical quality and durability are required.

Premium model

When only the best will do, the Premium model is the right choice. It offers all the benefits of the previous models but delivers the best performance with light transmittance of 90–92% when the film is frosted/off and haze as low as 3% when the film is clear/on.

Where there is no compromise: luxury residences, premium hotels and villas, representative business spaces and projects where aesthetics and maximum transparency are a priority.

High-temperature H-T model PDLC smart film

High-temperature model

The H-T or high-temperature model is developed for demanding conditions where glass surfaces are exposed to high temperatures, intense solar radiation and increased UV load for most of the day. It retains all the advantages of smart PDLC film comparable to the Basic model, but is enhanced to withstand temperatures up to 105 ℃.

Ideal for glass facades, shop windows, winter gardens, balconies, pool areas, atriums and other projects exposed to prolonged sun and elevated temperatures, where maximum resistance and reliability are required.

PDLC smart film in colors — red, blue, orange, green, grey and black

Color models – Red / Blue / Orange / Green / Grey / Black

Our color models provide all the advantages of standard PDLC smart film with the added option of choosing a color with an additional filter film layer.
